Länken går till en interjuv med mig på radio Västmanland där jag får förklara varför styrelsen i Mälarhamanr tagit beslut om personalnedragningar omfattande 24 personer.

Styrelsens arbete är inte bara att diskutera strategi och långsiktiga planer utan när ett bolag får bekymmer är det styrelsens ansvar att även initiera åtgäder för att återställa lönsamheten. För Mälarahamnar som ägs av två kommuner är det extra viktigt att styrelsen innan man genomför åtgärder diskuterat konsekvenser och funderat omkring riskfrågor. Ett kommunalt bolag, står under ABLs regeleverk, kommunallagens regelverk samt grundlagen vad gäller offentlighetsprincipen.

Styrelsen i ett kommunalt bolag har därför fler hänsyn att ta än kanske ett "vanligt" bolag där ofta publicitetetn omkring åtgärder inte blir lika omfattande.
